Let’s see…
Half empty - reshoot next tuesday evening - people should come help out! Will be fun and only about 4 hours
Pulling the Trigger - I am hoping that Sunday will look nice and we will be able to shoot all the things we need to finish out Joel and Eileen’s stuff
Then next Thursday we’ll reshoot Dima and Reggie and get that out of the way. Then finish that cut and on to the sound work!
SQ - well, i don’t know what to say on this one….
MFA app- theoretically, still on track.

Just finished working “The Unborn.” Started out as David Goyer’s assistant then took a job in the production office. That led to me reenrolling at Depaul University for my MS/MFA.
Signed up for Visual Effects - a class that is turning out to be a Visual FX supervisor class for me and might end being way more work than I can handle in a few weeks.
Signed up for Directing the Short - which is about directing a short but the assignments are two make two films in 10 weeks. Seems counter intuitive. I have proposed making just one film, but with reshoots, sound design, mix and color correction. Instructor seemed positive.
That leaves the donor video and recruitment video. And my thesis script. And Mason’s Life. And my Reel. And my MFA application which is due in four weeks.

Hello. Here is my couch. I hate this couch and it needs to get out of my house. It is the worst couch I have ever seen. I sat on it and now I’m in a back brace. I let my dog have the couch, but then he died on it, so I don’t really need it anymore. I miss my dog and I hate this couch. I’m asking $3.75 for the couch because thats how much Buck’s favorite chew toy cost me each month. However, I’ll consider other offers. I would just throw this couch into the river, but I hurt my back sitting on the couch.
A little more about the couch:
I bought it 3 months ago.
I paid $900
It came from this swanky furniture place
I hate the couch
It is uncomfortable and will probably put you in a back brace

Where the Hell is Matt - India
I am not sure what’s going on here. Some people don’t like travelling
so much and some people do.
I’m one of those people who likes travelling. I’m not going to try to
convince anybody they should do it. I know I do it because I always
feel like I lack perspective and travelling has helped me gain that.
Also, I think living is about having a good story to tell. And the
other adage I, jokingly I admit, adhere to is: “If it can’t kill you,
seriously, why bother?”
So I know that i’m nuts.
but another reason I travel is because I want to write things like this:
In the gas lit night, deep in the jungles of Bengal, Tom and I drank
whiskey and talked. That was the best part.
I surveyed the room we were in, with its two open doorways, and asked
Thomas what he thought was stopping the tigers from walking into this
cabin and chewing on our heads tonight.
“Statistical probability,” he said.
“Good enough, I suppose.”
To me, drinking whiskey in a gas lit cabin in the jungles of Bengal is
pretty much exactly how I want to live my life. And having enough
perspective to raise a glass to my lips and say “good enough” when
those fucking tigers come through the door.

Everybody is in it to win it!
We get it!
Sens. Clinton and Obama have officially launched their exploratory committees.
Everything works this way now, doesn’t it? I’m just going to stick my toe in and see what happens. But nobody falls for this, we all look at these Senators and say, “They’re running for President!”
So, can we cut the BS, and just say that? Or does it need to be so needlessly qualified: “I, Rudra Banerji, from my desk, am pondering, via committee, the circumstances, situations, and possibilities, that could, if favorably predicted, lead to, under the assumptions of science, faith and that weird dude who won’t shake hands with me, creating, or dismantling if needs dictate, an exploratory committee on folding my laundry today, but possibly in another four years.”
